~ Bear Viewing ~
Bear
viewing is best between mid May through mid June and mid
August to mid September. The best way to view bears is a
drift boat trip down the Atnarko River; where you silently
glide by black bears and grizzly bears while they're
feeding in their natural environment.
It's not unusual to see dozens of bears on these trips, so don't forget your camera. Also, during early morning, watch for bears wandering along the edge of the Bella Coola Estuary - right from the deck of the Float House Inn! Guided Tours Available.

|
~ Boat Tours ~ A boat tour of the fjord
offers amazing scenery, fresh salt air and an opportunity
to view some of BC's marine mammals, such as seals,
dolphins and otters.
You'll sail past old growth forests, avalanche slides and towering waterfalls. For lunch, we'll anchor off the Nooseseck River Estuary, enjoy a sea food BBQ and watch for bears. Crab traps can be set for those craving crab! For more information on scenic day crusies or sailboat charters, visit Bella Coola Yacht Charters. |

Kayaking the estuary allows you to experience the west coast wilderness up close and personal.
